Profile & History

The restaurant business runs deep in the Siblosky family. Penny’s Place was established in 1988 by Penny Siblosky, a lifelong resident of the Finger Lakes region. Penny’s Mother had also owned a restaurant in Seneca Falls, where Penny had worked for many years prior to opening her own restaurant. Ten years ago, after many years of dedicated service, Penny decided to retire from the restaurant business, and put the restaurant in the very capable hands of her two sons, Adam and John.

Penny is still very much a fixture at Penny’s Place and is often found interacting with the customers, many of whom she considers like family. When one visits Penny’s Place, Penny’s love of Elvis is very evident, with Elvis memorabilia displayed on the wall.

Penny’s Place was voted “Best Breakfast in the Finger Lakes” in 2015 by the Finger Lakes Times, which comes as no surprise to anyone who has visited the restaurant on the weekend, and waiting in a line that extends beyond the door, just to savor the delicious homemade breakfast that has made Penny’s Place so well known.

Penny’s Place is open for breakfast and lunch Monday-Thursday and Saturday. It is open Friday for breakfast, lunch and dinner and Sunday it is open for breakfast only. If you are looking for a great local dining experience and a good meal at a reasonable price, Penny’s Place is the perfect eatery for you.
